Pros to discuss crisis communications at Virginia Tech
Learn more about crisis communications by studying the communications and media responses to the April 2007 shootings at Virginia Tech.
Plan to attend one or both of our May events dedicated to crisis communications in the aftermath of the worst campus shooting in U.S. history:
Attend a May 21eveningreception and professional development session with Larry Hincker, associate vice president of university relations. Hincker will discuss his school’s communications response to the campus shootings.
Attend PRSA Richmond’s May 28 luncheon program featuring a media panel. Journalists from across the Commonwealth will discuss their experiences in covering these tragic events.
PRSA Richmond is “blooming” with loads of activities in the coming months, including our monthly luncheon programs, a May networking social and in June we'll host the Virginia PR Awards.
Join PRSA Richmond for cocktails, door prizes and networking on Thursday, May 8 at one of the area’s hottest new venues, Bank Restaurant, (1005 E. Main St.) from 5:30 to 8 p.m. We have reserved the second floor with a cash bar and complimentary appetizers. (And free parking is available!)
Please invite colleagues, friends, and those interested in learning about PRSA. Other professional groups (IABC, Virginia Government Communicators) will be invited.
