Linda Evans
Assistant Director of Media and PR
University of Richmond

Linda has been active in higher education media and public relations for nearly 30 years, serving three colleges in Virginia. She is honored to be leading the Richmond Public Relations Foundation as it strives to grow its endowment. She also is proud that through the support of PRSA, the local corporate community and interested individuals, the foundation is able to provide scholarships to two students annually as they balance studies, internships and jobs in order to achieve their career dreams.

 
William A. Harrison, Jr.

Bill Harrison is the principle of Harrison Writes LLC, a Richmond based freelance writing company. Prior to this, he was the regional director of public and government affairs for the American Red Cross, Virginia Capital Region.

 
 
Alissa M. Poole, APR
President
Poole Communications

Alissa has been an active PRSA Richmond volunteer for eight years, serving as president in 2009.  During her tenure as president, Alissa focused on expanding the role of the Foundation to reimburse the first five candidates who successfully pass the APR exam each year (up to $275).  A recipient of the chapter’s David P. Hurdle Memorial Scholarship while a student at the University of Richmond, Alissa is excited to support the Foundation as it continues recognizing future PR stars.

 
Ken Storey, APR
Ken is treasurer of the Foundation and one of the founding board members, as well as a former chapter president. Ken is retired from active public relations but remains involved with the chapter and Foundation as a retired member.
 
 
 
Malorie Burkett
Public Relations Specialist
VCU Communications and Public Relations
Malorie has been a PRSA Richmond member since 2006. In her position at VCU, she launched the VCU Public Relations internship program, which provides VCU students with first-hand experience in university and hospital public and media relations prior to graduation. A mentor to PR student interns and an advocate for students aspiring to become PR professionals, Malorie is delighted that the Foundation is providing an opportunity for students to apply for scholarships in the field.
