About the President

PRSA Richmond’s president serves a one-year term, which begins at the November President’s Luncheon, when the executive board is formally installed. The term ends at the following year’s November luncheon, when the president-elect is installed as president.

2017 President Jennifer Guild, APR


23650057601_7d4fbc9059_bA PRSA Richmond member since 2006, Jennifer Guild, APR has served on the board most recently as president-elect, along with first vice president for professional development, third vice president for membership, secretary and social media coordinator and chair of the next wave committee. Prior to her board service, Guild served on the public service committee for three years.

Guild graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2004 with a degree in mass communications. She worked at two private history museums—Pamplin Historical Park & The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier and Virginia Historical Society—for a combined eight years. In January 2014, Jennifer joined the communications team at the Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control as a PR specialist. She responds to media inquiries and handles aspects of the agency’s website and social media. Guild earned her Accreditation in Public Relations (APR) in 2016.
