PRSA Richmond works to recognize outstanding public relations professionals, and their work. The Chapter’s awards programs are widely recognized, and award recipients are acknowledged as outstanding in their efforts, or in their career and accomplishments.

Virginia Public Relations Awards

The Commonwealth Awards recognizes the most creative and effective communications strategies and tactics happening across Virginia. In the public relations programs category, winners will now receive either the Commonwealth Award or the Commonwealth Award of Merit. In the public relations tactics category, winners will now receive either the Capital Award or the Capital Award of Merit. (more)

Thomas Jefferson Award for Excellence in Public Relations

Each year PRSA Richmond recognizes extraordinary achievement by an individual working in the field of public relations. Thomas Jefferson Award winners exemplify the best in the profession. The program is open to public relations practitioners in the Greater Richmond metropolitan area. (more) 

Rising Star Award

The chapter’s Rising Star Award recognizes an outstanding new member of the public relations profession.  To qualify for the award, the nominee must have five or fewer. years of professional public relations experience. (more)
