Diversity in Communications: Enriching PRSA Richmond

Diversity in CommunicationsOne of the goals in the chapter’s strategic plan is to increase the awareness of the importance of diversity within the PR industry among PRSA Richmond members. As part of that goal, the diversity committee along with the rest of the Board has developed “Diversity in Communications: Enriching PRSA Richmond.” In the upcoming months we’ll be featuring members who represent diverse backgrounds in race, ethnicity and the communication industry, and what their experiences bring to the PR profession.

If you would like to suggest a PRSA Richmond member to feature, let us know. Our goal is to highlight and grow our members that enrich PRSA Richmond.

Other plans for the upcoming year include the continuation of the fall mentoring program with area universities and programs devoted to diversity in communications. If you have suggestions or would like to be a part of this committee, contact Diversity Committee Chair, Carol Kyber by calling 804-678-9619 or by email at ckyber1@comcast.net.
