Foundation seeking scholarship applications

Students are back on campus, which means it's time again for the Richmond Public Relations Foundation to award two $1,000 scholarships to rising PR Stars.

A "call for applications" flyer has been sent to six area colleges: Longwood University, Randolph-Macon College, VCU, Virginia State University, Virginia Union University and the University of Richmond.

Students are asked to send transcripts, resumes and a brief essay about why they want to work in public relations to the foundation by Oct. 13. The foundation board will judge the applications and select two scholarship recipients. The winners will be introduced to the membership at the Nov. 17 luncheon.

If you know a worthy candidate please urge him/her to apply for the scholarship. Complete instructions for applying are located on the PRSA website.
