Join us at during our Student Shadowing Week luncheon on Wed., Oct. 27.
As public relations professionals, how do we communicate in an increasingly diverse and segmented global society? How do we define diversity and related areas such as multicultural communication? Join us to hear Dr. Rochelle Larkin Ford, APR, give an overview of issues related to diversity in public relations.
Dr. Ford will discuss how diversity impacts the bottom line of organizations and makes them more competitive, efficient and effective. She will also share simple approaches to managing diversity within public relations teams and when communicating to external audiences.

Rochelle L. Ford, Ph.D., APR, is the Associate Dean of Research and Academic Affairs at the John H. Johnson School of Communications at Howard University.She holds a master’s degree in public relations and a graduate certificate in Gerontology from the University of Maryland. In 2008, Dr. Ford received PRSA’s national D. Parke Gibson Multiculturalism Awardfor pioneering work in diversity in public relations.
