Making the Case for Public Relations:
Demonstrating the Value of PR

Have you ever been asked whether what you do for a living matters? Have you ever wished you had a great answer to the question, "What is the value of public relations?"
You'll hear some great answers to these questions on June 30 during the Richmond PRSA's luncheon program, "Making the Case for Public Relations: Demonstrating the Value of PR"
You'll hear two chapter members -- top public relations professionals at their organizations -- talk about why their public relations efforts matter to their organizations. And you'll hear their organizations' CEOs validate that public relations is vital to their organizations' success, especially in a business climate of collapsing reputation and trust in major institutions and the explosion of consumer engagement through new and social media.
Our panel will feature William A. Harrison, Jr., Regional Director of Public and Government Affairs for the American Red Cross Greater Richmond Chapter, and his CEO Reggie Gordon, and Jennifer Mullen, Communications Manager for the Virginia Lottery, and her CEO, Paula I. Otto, once the Lottery's top PR staff member. Dr. Judy VanSlyke Turk, APR, Fellow PRSA and chair of the Richmond PRSA's Senior Practitioner Interest Group, will moderate the panel.
