With one crisis after another, the Dominion communications approach remains the same:  Tell the truth. Get it out quickly and completely. Make appropriate executives available. 
 
In 2011, Dominion faced a deadly tornado, a major hurricane and a large earthquake that shutdown one of its nuclear stations. Join us as Dominion’s VP of Executive Communications tells us all about it.
 
FREE PARKING!  PRSA Richmond will provide free parking to our members and guests in the parking deck at 5thand Marshall Streets for each of our monthly luncheons. Bring the ticket from the machine to the Chapter’s registration desk, and we’ll swap the ticket for a PAID voucher ticket.
 
Menu: Chicken breast with aged balsamic cherry wine reduction, chef's choice of potato or rice, vegetable medley, vanilla bean mousse with ginger strawberries.

 
 

RSVP Policy:

In order to comply with the guarantee policy of the Downtown Richmond Marriott, all RSVPs for lunch meetings must be made by 11:45 p.m. on MONDAY of the week of a meeting. After that time, members and guests will need to call Sara Hunt at (804) 994-1120 to see if space is still available or to be put on a waiting list if needed. Please RSVP early in order to ensure that you are included in the headcount for lunch!

If you register as a guest and later determine that you cannot attend, please contact Sara Hunt, Chapter Administrator, at prsarichmond@comcast. You must cancel prior to 3 business days in advance of the meeting to be eligible for a refund. If you cancel after that deadline, you will still be responsible for the lunch payment and will be billed if you didn't already pay online. No-shows will be billed for the lunch.

Position: Vice President, Executive Communications
Company: Dominion

Biography

William C. “Bill” Hall Jr. is vice president–Executive Communications.
His responsibilities include executive communications and financial media relations. He also has responsibilities related to Dominion’s annual and corporate responsibility reports.
Hall joined the company in 1983 as senior media representative for Virginia Power. In 1985, he was promoted to director-News Services.
In 1986, he became director-Banking and Public Relations for Dominion. He was promoted to director-Investor Relations in 1989. From 1993 to 1994, Hall served as assistant treasurer for Virginia Power, then as assistant treasurer for Dominion from 1994 to 1996. He was appointed assistant vice president-Corporate Communications in January 1997, and was named vice president-External Affairs & Corporate Communications in May 1999 and vicepresident-Corporate Communications & Community Affairs in September 2006, and assumed his current position January 2011.
He serves on the boards of the Richmond Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, the Virginia Foundation for Community Colleges and other non-profit organizations.
Hall received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Richmond.
