About the President
PRSA Richmond’s president serves a one-year term, which begins at the November President’s Luncheon, when the executive board is formally installed. The term ends at the following year’s November luncheon, when the president-elect is installed as president.
2018 President Cameron McPherson, APR
Cameron McPherson, APR, works at The Hodges Partnership, a strategic communications and marketing agency in Richmond’s Shockoe Bottom. He helps clients in the higher education and nonprofit sectors land placements in such national outlets as The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and The Washington Post. He also regularly executes statewide media relations campaigns for clients, like the 2016 reopening of the Black History Museum and Cultural Center of Virginia. In addition to being PRSA Richmond’s “No. 1 Fan,” McPherson has served a variety of roles in the chapter, including president-elect, vice president for professional development and vice president for awards, as well as student relations chair and media relations chair.
