The Richmond Public Relations Foundation, a 501(c) (3), is the charitable arm of PRSA Richmond. The foundation was created in 1999 with the purpose of enhancing the public relations profession in Central Virginia.
The foundation administers the David P. Hurdle, William Dietrick and Daphne Lowell Dailey Memorial Scholarships, annually awarding three $1,500 scholarships in each of the former members’ names to juniors or seniors at select Virginia colleges and universities who are planning to pursue careers in public relations after graduation.
The foundation also has a limited fund to assist current practitioners by annually reimbursing members, or their companies, up to $275 each when they earn their APR accreditation from PRSA, upon request.
The foundation conducts fundraising throughout the year from businesses, individuals and the PRSA Richmond chapter to fund the scholarships and add to its endowment fund.
